About the Factory

“OK-Loza” (Rolling Support - Loza) is a joint-stock company founded on the basis of the Zagorsk (now Sergiev Posad) Development factory of the research-and-production VNIPP (Research institute of bearing industry) based in 1949 and specializing in production of precise instrument bearings in bearings of non-standard design with the outer diameter up to 35 mm.
During the existence of the branch of the VNIPP thousands of bearings were designed on demand of defense factories; an enormous theoretical knowledge, which served as the basis of a program complex of calculation of product characteristics in accordance with the customer’s requirements was accumulated; the production and research techniques were worked through.

The factory has a large quantity of unique equipment made in the USA , Japan and Germany which are not produced in Russia . The designer’s and technologist’s teem is working out new types of bearings, including bearing for the civil sector. For example, the car engines water pump bearings for the ZMZ (Zavolzie engine factory) and VAZ (Volga car factory) engines, special bearings for textile machines; bearings for vacuum cleaners, computer hard disc drives (HDD), video-, micro-motors, dental hand-sets made inland and abroad; turbo-compressor components were created. All the materials used in the production are under close control on conformity to requirements of the all-Union State Standard (GOST) and the special technical standards.

ensure absence of defects and conformity to normative-technical documentation.

In 2001 the GPZ–21 (State bearing plant № 21) shut down, the plant was bankrupted. In order to keep the necessary for the Russian industry ball production, similar to that of the JSC “OK-Loza”, the company bought the equipment of the GPZ–21 despite the critical lack of means. 2000 units of equipment and instruments, or 5000 tons, were removed from Moscow 4500 square meters were cleared. The equipment was reassembled on a freed site of the factory of Loza and started up. The production of large spectrum of balls for bearings and free balls for oil machine-building was started.
JSC “OK-Loza” is developing constantly mastering new types of production and increasing its production capacity. More than 300 workplaces have been created recently, and if production increases further, up to 1500 people could be employed.
